Presence and observation

Updated: Dec 9, 2022

These writings are an expression of my own experience, a deeper look at ones self. They are offered as a guide to anyone who is awakening to their authentic self. 10 years ago I called these writings Mystic musings. I also offer personal guidance on request via the contact form.

Grab a nice cold drink and #relax

Find a shady spot in a garden or on a sofa and be quiet, #observe what is around you, now follow the breath, ... breathe in deep and slow,... hold it ....and breath out slowly with shhhh ocean sound, do 10 rounds of this breathing, consciously, ... take a few moments in stillness.

Now write down in your special journal, 5 experiences that you are grateful for, it could simply be the warmth of the sun on your face, a beautiful butterfly fluttering from flower to flower, or the comfy armchair that is supporting you, feel your body supported, held, safe. Feel the gratitude in that. Become aware of the feeling arising within this body with each experience, if it is stress, don't react just observe/allow.

Sit with each observation, allow..., whether it is comfortable or uncomfortable.

Make time everyday to do this. Soon you will become aware of the uncomfortable feelings and sit with them until they dissolve simply by the light of awareness,... or go deep into the root of it if you choose.

In closing .... A bit of tongue in cheek humour... remember to laugh everyday.

Presence is not a nicely wrapped #gift, although that is nice too.

Sitting down with a nice cold drink is not grabbing an iced latte in a crowded cafe at lunch time before you dash off to the next stressful situation.

And lastly you don't have to be in an exotic location to enjoy your surroundings.

Use this technique to find beauty and peace in your life in every moment.

See you next time for more tips and observations.

Namaste 🙏🏼💖
